By inviting StreakFlare to your Discord server or using any of its features, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the bot.

2. Description of Service

StreakFlare is a Discord bot that provides the following services:

• Daily streak tracking based on user message activity
• Automated display name updates with streak indicators
• Daily reminder notifications via Direct Messages
• Streak restoration system (5 chances per month)
• Server and global leaderboards
• Slash commands for streak management

3. User Responsibilities

By using StreakFlare, you agree to:

• Use the bot lawfully: Do not use StreakFlare for any illegal activities or to violate Discord's Terms of Service
• Respect other users: Do not harass, abuse, or spam other users through the bot's features
• Provide accurate information: Ensure your Discord account information is accurate and up-to-date
• Not attempt to exploit: Do not attempt to bypass, manipulate, or abuse the streak tracking system
• Not reverse engineer: Do not attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the bot's source code

4. Bot Permissions

StreakFlare requires the following Discord permissions to function properly:

• Manage Nicknames: To update user display names with streak indicators
• Send Messages: To send streak notifications and command responses
• Send Direct Messages: To send daily reminder notifications
• Read Message History: To track daily message activity for streak counting
• Embed Links: To display formatted messages and embeds

We only use these permissions for their intended purposes as described in our functionality.

5. Data Collection and Usage

StreakFlare collects and stores the following data:

• Discord User ID (for identification)
• Discord Server/Guild ID
• Current streak count
• Longest streak achieved
• Last message date
• Number of restore chances remaining
• Streak active status

This data is used solely for the purpose of providing streak tracking functionality. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

StreakFlare is provided "as is" without any warranties. We are not liable for:

• Loss of streak data due to technical issues, server outages, or Discord API limitations
• Incorrect streak counts caused by Discord message delivery issues
• Inability to receive reminder notifications due to user privacy settings
• Any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the bot
• Changes in functionality due to Discord API updates

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99% uptime, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The bot may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance
• Server updates or upgrades
• Discord API outages or rate limiting
• Unforeseen technical issues

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of scheduled maintenance in advance.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Terminate or suspend access to the bot for any user or server that violates these terms
• Remove the bot from any server at our discretion
• Discontinue the service at any time with or without notice

Users may stop using the bot at any time by removing it from their server. User data may be retained for up to 30 days after removal.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

We will notify users of significant changes through:

• Bot announcements in Discord servers
• Updates on our website
• Direct messages to server administrators (when applicable)

10. Discord Terms Compliance

StreakFlare complies with Discord's Terms of Service and Developer Terms of Service. By using StreakFlare, you also agree to abide by Discord's terms.
